Special Education Instructional Coach
Grand Island Public Schools has a Secondary Special Education Instructional Coach position available for the 2019-2020 school year. The role of the instructional coach is to improve student achievement by building teachers’ capacity and understanding of effective instructional practices, specialized instruction, differentiation and data-driven decision making. The coach, in conjunction with the administration, is responsible for ensuring high-quality instruction through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching and providing feedback to teachers and implementation of special education laws and practices.
Master’s degree in an education-related field, preferably special education; current NE teaching certificate with special education endorsement. Experience as a successful and innovative special education teacher. Minimum of three years of successful special education classroom teaching experience.
