High School Principal–Grand Island Senior High

Position Purpose–The Principal of Grand Island Senior High School provides a clear vision for learning for all students; ensures a safe, secure and orderly learning environment; and cultivates strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including families and community The Principal of Grand Island Senior High School is expected to promote high-quality instructional practices, passionately enjoy working with high school aged students, and believe that all students can achieve. The Principal of Grand Island Senior High School is responsible for selecting and assigning staff, supporting differentiated professional growth and building the leadership capacity of staff. The Principal of Grand Island Senior High School must collect, analyze and use multiple sources of data to guide continuous improvement in student achievement, manage school operations, and effectively evaluate and develop staff.
Position Requirements:

Master Degree in Education Administration, including Nebraska Administrative Certification. (prefer Specialist or Doctorate)

Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to make presentations to the board of education and various media, community or professional groups.

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish trust and rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders (e.g. administrators, school staff, students, parents, community members)

Start Date–July 8, 2024
Salary Range–$130,000-$160,000 (depending on experience and degree level–Masters, Specialist, or Doctorate)
260 day contract with 20 vacation days per year. 10 days of sick leave per year.
