EL Bilingual – Howard Elementary
Position Purpose: Under the direction of the School Principal the EL teacher is responsible for the education of assigned students, whose first language is not english, and to create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth. The teacher will establish effective rapport with students; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and the knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education, and do so in accordance with each student’s ability. Professional relations will be developed and maintained with other staff and parents.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required. Must at all times during employment possess a Nebraska Teaching Certificate with such endorsements as required by NDE Rule 10 and all other certification and training as required or assigned.
- EL teachers in the high school must also have core content endorsement (math, ELA, science, social studies)

Start Date – August 5th, 2025
Salary Range : $42,500 – $86,000 (depending on experience and degree level)
Retention Bonus: $3000 (after 3 years, starting the 4th year of teaching with GIPS)
