Academy Instructor – Aviation – Flight
The Academies of Grand Island Senior High seeks applicants for a High School Aviation Instructor. Applicants must be willing to work with students in a progressive system. Courses would include Junior and Senior level Aviation – Flight. Preferred Basic Ground School Instructor (BGI), Advanced Ground School Instructor (AGI) or Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) FAA certifications or willing to work towards.
This position will require effective delivery of Aviation subject area and working with local industry partners to ensure the connection of curriculum and instruction to industry needs. In addition to instruction practices and evaluation, safety and management in both classroom and lab environments is a regular requirement.
Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) Teaching Certificate, ability to obtain an NDE Career Education Permit or qualify to enroll in Transition to a Teaching program.
Competitive salary schedule, plus $3,000 bonus paid upon successful completion of probationary period.
