Academy Instructor – Aviation

 The Academies of Grand Island Senior High seeks applicants for a High School Aviation Instructor at the Career Pathways Institute.  CPI has excellent facilities with state of the art technology and equipment.
Applicants must be willing to work with students in a progressive system.  Courses would include Aviation Maintenance and Introduction to Flight.  Preferred Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) or Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certifications or willing to work towards.
This position will require effective delivery of Aviation subject area and working with local industry partners to ensure the connection of curriculum and instruction to industry needs.  In addition to instructional practices and evaluation, safety and management in both classroom and lab environments are a regular requirement.  
Nebraska Department of Education Teaching Certificate (Regular or Career Education Permit) required.  Career Education Permit accepted in lieu of Industrial Technology endorsement.

Competitive salary schedule, plus $2,000 bonus paid upon successful completion of probationary period.
