Position:    Technical Support Coordinator

Job Qualifications:   

  • High school graduate or GED required
  • Associates Degree in technology-related field preferred
  • Computer hardware technical support experience preferred

Job Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include user support and installation, support, and maintenance of District technology equipment including but not limited to computer hardware, digital projector systems, peripherals, desktop software, audio/video equipment, and meeting and special room configurations.

Employment:    12 months, Full-Time, Start July 1, 2021

Salary:    $22.60 – $25.31 starting, per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include:

JOB TITLE: Technical Support Coordinator


Education Level:

  • High School Diploma
  • Certification from an accredited technical school in the field of electronics for the repair of computers, printers, video and scanner equipment.  (Military training and experience accepted in lieu of certification.)


  • Valid Nebraska Drivers License.
  • First Aid/CPR certification desired.

Experience Desired:

  • Some experience in electronics and computer repair and maintenance.

Other Requirements:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of reading and basic math skills.
  • Positive human relations skills.
  • Ability to successfully interact and work with administration, faculty, and staff.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art technology.
  • Self-directed individual with the ability to determine and acquire needed tools, testing equipment, and materials needed for service and maintenance procedures.
  • Experience with common disk operating systems, software packages, and networking topologies.

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology/Information Services

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The essential functions of each employee’s position includes (1) regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the physical requirements of their specific job description.


  • Perform computer and electronic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and, setup as directed.


  • Follow an on-going maintenance procedure for computers, printers, and other technology equipment in the District.
  • Repair computers, printers, and  other equipment as needed in the District.
  • Follow troubleshooting procedures for hardware and specific software issues.
  • Maintain an appropriate service center, to include necessary tools, diagnostic equipment and software, and an inventory of parts and materials.
  • Responsible for setup of new equipment.
  • Assist Network Coordinator on hardware and software issues.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
