Anticiapated 7-12 Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor
Due to an anticipated retirement Franklin Public Schools is currently accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year for the position of 7-12 Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor. Franklin has a rich tradition and strong support for its Ag and FFA program. The candidate would need to be willing to continue to strive to grow our very successful FFA program, and work hand in hand with our strong agricultural community.
Franklin’s FFA program is strongly supported by the School, Administration, and community, and has grown to include both a High School and Junior High FFA program. We have a fully functional Greenhouse that includes plant sales in the spring, and Pointsetta sales during the Christmas months. Our FFA program makes annual trips to both the State and National Convention, and has had many students actively participating and earning awards in both conventions.
Interested candidates will be taking over a well established program in both agricultural education and FFA.
Anticipated start date is in conjunction with the 2022-2023 school year. We offer full family insurance, single dental, and a competitive starting salary. FFA Advisor comes with additional stipend starting at 12% on our extra duty schedule with the opportunity for more based on years of experience as well as where you fall on the salary schedule. The base salary for the 2021-2022 school year is $35,825, and is currently being negotiated for 22-23.
