High School Alternative Education Program Teacher
-Facilitate self-paced online curriculum and individualized instruction to at-risk students or students with disabilities who do not excel in a traditional classroom setting
-Develop behavior plans to promote student work completion
-Manage online course enrollments
-Provide instructional support in a variety of subject areas on an as-needed basis
-Collaborate with agencies/programs including Nebraska VR, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health Providers, Metropolital Community College, etc.
-Track class progress and course completion towards high school graduation
-Serve as case-manager for students receiving services at out-of-district placements
Young Adult Program Teacher
-Provide transition services to young adults ages 18 to 21 who qualify for Special Education services
-Instruction and skill development in the areas of personal management, vocational development, and independent living
-Primary instructional focus is on vocational development and independent living skills with functional academics interwoven in meaningful, real-life applications
-Coordinate with community partners, local businesses and other agencies to provide life skill instruction, community outings, job shadowing/volunteer experiences, and pre-vocational opportunities
