Educational Service Unit 16, a regional education agency in West Central Nebraska serving a nine county area, is accepting applications for a Teaching & Learning Consultant with emphasis PreK-12th Grade Literacy and knowledge of data supports for the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking someone with a passion for innovative educational solutions and a desire to make a difference in the lives of teachers and students. MA degree in education and three or more years of teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

Provide literacy training for teachers in all curricular areas, specifically PreK-12th Grade.

Provide and ensure successful implementation of instructional practices such as development of curriculum, instructional models, adoption and implementation of high-quality instructional materials, use of technology, and personalized professional development for teachers

Model effective instructional practices, including the design and delivery of instruction, effective use of research based teaching strategies, implementation of inclusive practices to improve student achievement  

Provide teachers with professional learning and coaching based on their individual needs  

Use a data collection platform to analyze gaps in student achievement and to develop action plans that inform instruction and accelerate student achievement
