Agriculture Teacher/FFA Sponsor
Elm Creek is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Agriculture Education Teacher to join our school. We have a very successful program with over 60 kids in grades 7-12. Our district pays for state qualifiers rooms and meals at State FFA to help support the success of the program. Our ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction in agricultural sciences, develop hands on learning experiences, and support student leadership and success through FFA (Future Farmers of America) programs and competitions.
Key Responsibilities

Teach courses in agricultural science, agribusiness, animal science, plant science, and/or agricultural mechanics.

Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and CTE frameworks.

Supervise and manage FFA chapter activities and student leadership development.

Coordinate supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs) for students.

Maintain agricultural labs, greenhouses, and/or shop facilities.

Collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners.

Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education or related field (Master’s preferred).

Valid state teaching certification in Agriculture Education (or ability to obtain).

Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Ability to supervise extracurricular activities, including extended hours for events
