MTSS Coordinator/Instructional Coach
ESU 8 is searching for an individual to serve as the MTSS Coordinator and Instructional Coach for 19 school districts. MTSS is a framework that promotes an integrated system connecting general education and special education, along with all components of teaching and learning, into a highly quality, standards based instruction and intervention system that is matched to a student’s academic, social emotional, and behavior needs. An instructional coach provides supports to classroom teachers as they implement evidence based instructional practices in their classrooms. The position involves: training adults, providing technical assistance for MTSS, coaching adults in the use of evidence based practices across a 7 county area.
5 years minimum of professional and/or school district experience
Knowledge and understanding of best practices in core academic and behavior instruction and evidence based interventions
Experience in the MTSS process
Salary based on education and experience
Starting date is August 1, 2019.
