Literacy Specialist

The Literacy Specialist will work collaboratively with ESU 4 school districts to provide targeted support to improve reading proficiency across the ESU 4 region. The goal of the Nebraska Department of Education is to “increase third-grade proficiency on NSCAS ELA to 75% by 2030.” The successful candidate will have skills in instructional leadership, instructional coaching, relationship building, problem-solving, and evidence-based reading strategies.

This position is partially grant-funded and guaranteed for a minimum of three years, with funding anticipated to continue for up to five years. The position is contingent upon grant availability and will conclude when funding ends.

Application materials will be due by Jan. 9, 2025. Interviews will be conducted on January 17, 2025 with an alternate date of Jan. 27, 2025. Start date will be on or around Aug. 1, 2025.
