Special Education Coordinator

Location: Goodrich Middle School

Position Details:

In this position a special education coordinator works 189 days with 20 additional days.  

School is looking for a person who exhibits the following characteristics:

• Collaborative with other administrators, parents, and teachers
• Knowledgeable of Rule 51, IDEA and LPS school board policies
• Lead MDT, IEP, FBA, BIP, Manifestation and Safety Plan meetings for students
• Guide special education staff on accommodations and modifications while using the general education curriculum
• Appraise, train and communicate with special education teachers and para educators

Requirements:

• Must qualify for, or hold, Nebraska Administrative certificate.
• Must have a degree in special education and administration
• Demonstrated successful administrative or leadership experience required, with a commitment to working in a culturally responsive learning environment.
