Secondary Business/Technology Instructor

Due to a retirement, the Dundy County Stratton Public School District #117 is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Business/Technology Instructor for the 2025-2026 school year.  The Dundy County Stratton Public S.D. includes the communities of Benkelman (population 770), Haigler (population 140) and Stratton (population 300) and is situated in the Southwest corner of the state.  The district is comprised of approximately 285 students located in a K-6 building and a 7-12 building.  The district is working with the community to establish a new facility for the 2025-2026 school year that will provide childcare for the community as well as house the Pre-Kindergarten program.  Dundy County Stratton competes at the Class D level for NSAA athletics/activities and is a member of the Republican Plains Activity Conference (RPAC).

For the 2025-2026 school year, the district qualifies for the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) that provides free meals to all students in the district throughout the school year.  Through local foundations, all graduating Dundy County Stratton seniors are afforded scholarships of $3,000.00 (+) per semester for four (04) years of post secondary education.  The district functions in a 1:1 environment with students utilizing laptops and iPads.  Dundy County Stratton Public Schools has a strong staff, supportive communities, a progressive board/staff relationship and advanced technology to provide great opportunities for students.

Dundy County Stratton Public School District has a 2024-2025 base salary of $41,350.00 with negotiations currently underway for the 2025-2026 school year.  The position will have a 185-day contract commencing in mid-August 2025 with full paid Blue Cross Blue Shield family health insurance ($1,050/$3,800 deductible)/single dental insurance along with a long-term disability policy and a $10,000 life insurance policy paid.  The district offers certificated staff members fifteen (15) days of paid time off (PTO) annually.  All previous years of teaching experience are accepted.

The successful candidate must possess a Nebraska Teaching Certificate and have, or be able to attain, a Business/Marketing/Information Technology endorsement as required by NDE.  Coaching and sponsorship opportunities are available but not required.  Dundy County Stratton does sponsor an established E-sports program.
