Secondary Business Information Technology Teacher

1. Required Qualifications

1. Knowledge and demonstration of “best practice” in teaching

2. Knowledge of the developmental characteristics of students at the designated grade level.

3. Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.

4. Knowledge of the Nebraska Teaching Standards

5. Knowledge of special education and section 504

6. Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues.

7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

8. Data-driven decision-making skills to ensure access to grade-level standards for all students. 

9. Proven regular/consistent communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders.

10. Demonstrate the ability to modify/enhance curriculum & instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students

2. Education

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher required. 

     C. Certification/Licensure

1. Must at all times during employment possess a Nebraska Teaching Certificate with a Business endorsement and such other endorsements as may be required by NDE Rules 10 and 24 and all other certification and training as required or assigned.

2. Ability / willingness to obtain licensure if not currently held

    D. Preferred Qualifications

1. Desire to coach one or more extracurricular activities

2. Demonstration of Kagan Structures or effective collaborative practices

3. Knowledge of Standards-Based Grading practices

4. Ability to develop data-based SMART goals and aligned action plans.

5. Demonstrate skills in the implementation of standards-based classroom planning, assessment, and instruction

6. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth

7. Demonstrate the ability to reflect on own practice

8. Demonstrated experience and/or strong understanding of MTSS 

9. Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for high-achieving students.

1. Office equipment such as cell phones, multi-line phone systems, copiers, and computers.
