Agriculture / Industrial Technology Teacher
Calling all passionate agriculture educators! Doniphan-Trumbull Public School is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to take the reins of our agriculture and industrial tech programs. If you love sharing your knowledge with students, empowering the next generation, and getting involved in the community, this is an excellent opportunity.
With the retirement of our longtime ag teacher, we’re looking for someone to continue the excellent programming he established over years of service. As his successor, you’ll teach a variety of courses including but not limited to ag sciences, welding, woodworking, small engines, and more. Even better, you’ll serve as the advisor for our award-winning FFA chapter!
If you’re ready to make your mark on the ag teachers and leaders of tomorrow, we welcome your application today. Join us in shaping the future for our students and community!
We offer a competitive salary starting at $38,900, with regular raises and a retention bonus every five years. With up to 11 years of experience, you could earn even more. The FFA advisor position also comes with a stipend between $2,600-$3,900 and 10 additional contract days paid at the per diem rate.
Beyond the numbers, D-T offers a fantastic benefits package, including district paid premiums for health and dental insurance, personal and annual leave time and 101% matching retirement contributions. You’ll become part of our close-knit, rural community, full of pride in our school. With two small towns and access to larger cities like Hastings and Grand Island, you get the best of both worlds.
Doniphan-Trumbull Public Schools is a rural school with proud academic traditions and great community support. We are located in Central Nebraska right off of I-80, serving the communities of Doniphan and Trumbull. Both towns are approximately 12 miles apart, and within 15 miles from the cities of Hastings and Grand Island. Many of our nearly 450 students come from neighboring farms, or larger housing developments at Amick Acres, and a significant number have parents working in the neighboring tri-cities area. Approximately 85% of our students graduate and go onto higher education and our school was a recipient of the ReVision Grant from NDE for the 2021-22 school year focusing on the expansion of CTE to include a CNA teaching lab on site. There is a strong local community commitment to the trades with active and future partnerships connected to construction companies, Corteva, and others.
