K-12 School Counselor

Crawford Public Schools is a D2 school with approximately 165 students and is located in the beautiful Pine Ridge Area of Northwest Nebraska. We are hiring a full time K-12 School Counselor for the 2025-2026 School Year.  The ideal candidate will collaborate with students, staff, and families to foster a positive school climate, focused on supporting the academic, social-emotional, and career and college readiness development needs of our students.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold or be eligible for a Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) School Counselor Certificate (PreK-12 endorsement).
  • Strong knowledge of social-emotional learning, career  and college readiness, and academic planning.
  • Experience with 504 plans, special education collaboration, and crisis response preferred.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Additional Information

This position is for the 2025-26 school year with a start date on or about August 11, 2025. Salary is based on education and experience. Candidates need to possess a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or be able to obtain a probationary certificate.

Crawford is located in the scenic Pine Ridge Area of NW Nebraska with easy access to Fort Robinson State Park, Chadron State Park, and the Black Hills region. This area offers many different outdoor activities including golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking…etc.
