9-12 FCS Teacher and FCCLA Advisor

Due to a retirement at the end of the 2021-2022 school year, Chase County Schools is seeking a 9-12 Family and Consumer Science instructor for the 2022-2023 school year.

Applicants must possess a current Nebraska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements and Chase County Schools will consider provisionally certificated applicants and transition to teaching applicants as well. The course load includes: Foods, Housing, Human Development, Intro to Sewing, Life on Your Own with the options for many other class opportunities. FCCLA sponsorship and other extra duties may be available with this position.

Chase County is a progressive district with a supportive school board and 1 to 1 Chromebook initiative for grades 9-12. The FCS lab has five fully functioning kitchens with newer appliances, 19 functioning sewing machines, Pro Start equipment, Reality Work babies and a deep freezer.

Additional Information

The current base salary is $36,500 with EHA Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance paid in full by the district, single dental insurance with the option for family dental, 10 sick days and 4 personal days, long term disability insurance, vision insurance, 403B and other optional benefits.

Start date will be approximately August 15, 2022.
