Information Technology Instructor-Central Community College
This position could be located in Columbus, Hastings, Grand Island, Kearney or Lexington.
The instructor will collaborate with the Associate Dean and, as appropriate, the program director in order to assist students in accessing learning and attaining educational goals; facilitate learning by providing varied learning experiences and teaching in instructional modalities as assigned; and professionally represent the college, its role and mission. The instructor will meet the education and work experience standards set forth in the job specifications. The instructor will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
Instructors who teach in Information Technology and transferable courses (INFO 1120 or INFO 1380) will hold:
1. A Master’s degree in Information Technology with certifications in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and two years relevant work experience or subfield; or
2. A Master’s degree in Instructional Technology with certifications in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and two years relevant work experience in a related field; or
3. A Master’s degree and a minimum of 15 graduate credits in Information Technology or subfield with certifications in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and five (5) years of collective relevant work experience equating to 3 graduate credits; or
4. A Master’s degree with certifications in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and 10 years of collective relevant work experience equating to a maximum of 6 credits and 12 graduate credits in a related subfield or combination thereof.
