Toddler Teacher (2s & 3s)

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team and provide exceptional care and education to children aged 2 to 3 years old. This role requires patience, creativity, and a nurturing spirit to support the growth and development of toddlers in a safe and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development in all areas, including cognitive, physical, social, and emotional domains.
  • Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and self-expression.
  • Foster positive relationships with toddlers, parents, and colleagues through open communication, collaboration, and respect.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Observe and assess individual children’s progress and needs, and provide feedback to parents and caregivers as needed.
  • Encourage and support toddlers’ emerging language and communication skills through storytelling, songs, and conversations.
  • Promote social skills and emotional regulation through modeling, guidance, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, development, and any incidents or concerns, in accordance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other members of the early childhood education team to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions for children as they progress through the program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare setting is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs and dynamics of a toddler classroom.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet all state licensing requirements for childcare providers.
