Education and Training Instructor -on call for Boys Town
Job Title: Education and Training Instructor
Job Summary: The Education Training Instructor trains one or more types of Education Training Workshops including, but not limited to, Well-Managed Schools, Administrative Intervention, Specialized Classroom Management, Safe and Healthy Secondary Schools and Teaching Social Skills in Schools. This position also prepares for the class, tracks attendance, coaches participants, and submits required reports and materials according to established timelines.
Oversees class management and performance related to Education Training Workshops.
Work as needed approximately 1 week per year, must be flexible and willing to travel.
Coordinates, monitors, and presents Education Training Workshops.
Travels to contracted sites to conduct training and to consult with or observe staff.
Completes all administrative reports and collects all required paperwork from the participants within the specified time period. Reports may include, but are not limited to, attendance rosters, expense reports, trip reports, and participant course evaluation forms.
Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home mission.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience implementing the Boys Town Model.
• Must have a current driver’s license and provide own transportation to local training events. Provide own transportation to airport when overnight offsite travel occurs.
• Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods of time.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES, AND LANGUAGE SKILLS:
•Must have one of the following: a current and up-to-date teaching certificate or a Master’s degree, accreditation by the Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education, the National Association of School Psychologists, or the American Psychological Association, or have an up to date Boys Town Trainer Authorization.
