MTSS Interventionist

Boyd County Public Schools is seeking a MTSS Interventionist.  Extra Duty assignments available with this position.  Signing bonus will be paid with this position.  Base Salary for 2021-2022 is $36,550.  Position will remain open until filled. Job responsibilities are posted below:

• Administer Universal Screener at the K-6 grade level for both Reading and Math.

• Input data into Universal Screening database for collection purposes.

• Provides direct intensive intervention with students. Assist in developing a systematic

            school-wide approach to MTSS. 

• Have an active role in the MTSS leadership team to assist in the development and implementation of MTSS at all tiers.  

• Communicate and work closely with the regular classroom teachers while assisting in the development of each students’ intervention program.

• Develop and provide materials for/with colleagues  

• Facilitates and helps coordinates the implementation of a classroom intervention program. 

• Provides direct curriculum and instructional support services to teachers including effective strategies and intervention.

• Provides individual and small group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students in pull out and/or classroom setting.  

• Assist with designing intervention and monitoring progress for students who are struggling.  

• Assists schools in developing strategic plans for intervention and growth for all students.  

• Identify best practices regarding teaching, instruction and assessment in MTSS

• Analyze assessment and other relevant data to assist in creating goals and objectives and evaluating the effectiveness of program services. 

• Thorough understanding of the State Standards and NWEA MAPS data.

• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.   

• Demonstrate leadership skills in professional practice.  

• Demonstrate skills in listening, communicating and collaborating.  

• Strong knowledge of research findings in a MTSS which includes Responsiveness to Instruction (RtI) and data-based decision making. 

• Desire to work hard and passionately seek success for all students.  

• Knowledge of research-based and/or evidence-based interventions.
