Our ideal candidate will have an interest and/or experience in working with students in the support of their education programs, and:
Assisting teachers in preparing instructional materials and room preparation.
Tutoring and small group instruction as directed and supervised by a teacher.
Assisting students in better understanding lessons, note-taking, and make-up work.
Assisting students with handicapping conditions and/or managing behavioral distressed students if necessary.
Performing supervisory duties, such as lunchroom, playground, halls, classroom, and library.
Keyboarding, drawing, writing, and copying materials, and writing instructional material on white boards.
Maintaining a cooperative working relationship with all personnel, students, and patrons.
Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Associate’s degree, or two years of college, or complete NCLB Highly Qualified Paraeducator assessment.
Must possess effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be skilled in human relations, leadership, and conflict management.
Salary based on education and experience ($9-$11/hr)
30 hour base week
Single healthcare benefit included.
Possible on-site housing available.
August 13th, 2018 start date.
