PreK-12 School Counselor opening for the 2026-2027 school year.

St. Francis Elementary and Archangels Catholic High School (ACHS) are committed to excellence with a strong Catholic identity.

Academic Success Advocate

  • Monitor standardized test performance and help drive school-wide improvement
  • Participate in individualize education plans meetings
  • Build individualized student schedules and manage academic records
  • Promote access to online and dual credit learning opportunities
  • Track and support student academic performance, including managing the student progress and honor roll
  • Equip students with ACT prep tools and resources

Social-Emotional Champion

  • Provide one-on-one counseling and create a safe, supportive environment for all students
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to address behavioral and wellness concerns
  • Develop and implement interventions to support students’ emotional needs

Future-Planning Partner

  • Help students explore post-secondary paths—from college and careers to military and vocational options
  • Host college and career readiness meetings for freshmen through seniors
  • Guide students through college applications, career planning, and transition processes

Financial Aid Navigator

  • Connect students and families with scholarships, grants, and tuition assistance programs
  • Assist with FAFSA completion and financial aid applications
  • Share timely updates on funding opportunities and deadlines

Person with a strong Catholic faith is desired as the Catholic faith is the foundation to our education.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement
  • Completion of Safe Environment training is required
  • Previous counseling or student support experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Passion for guiding students toward their full potential in a faith-based environment
  • Commitment to the mission of Catholic education
