Girls Wrestling Coach – Anselmo-Merna School

Anselmo-Merna Public School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Girls Wrestling Coach to lead and grow our high school girls wrestling program. We’re looking for a coach who values hard work, sportsmanship, and the development of strong, confident student-athletes—both on and off the mat.

Position: Girls Wrestling Head Coach
School: Anselmo-Merna Public School
Location: Merna, Nebraska
Start Date: 25-26 School Year

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of the girls wrestling program, including planning practices, coaching matches, and mentoring athletes

• Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that supports personal and athletic growth

• Collaborate with school staff and athletic department to promote academic success and team comradery

• Ensure safety, sportsmanship, and compliance with NSAA rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred coaching experience (wrestling or similar sports)

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes

• Teaching certificate preferred but not required
